شهدت محافظة تعز هذا الأسبوع تدشين أنشطة التخطيط والتنمية الحضرية، إحدى مكونات مشروع تعزيز المرونة المؤسسية والاقتصادية في اليمن الذي ينفذه برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي من خلال منظمة غدق للتنمية.

في الورشة التعريفية، تم شرح وتقديم الأنشطة والمفاهيم الرئيسية للتنمية والتخطيط الحضري ومناقشة تطوير متطلبات تشكيل فرق التخطيط والإدارة الحضرية وفقاً للسياق المحلي.

تهدف هذه الورشة التي عقدت بمشاركة السطات المحلية في المحافظة إلى تعزيز مشاركة أصحاب المصلحة وضمان التنسيق والمساهمة في رفع الوعي حول توطين أهداف التنمية في التخطيط الحضري.

يذكر أن هذه الأنشطة يتم تنفيذها بالتنسيق الوثيق مع وزارة الإدارة المحلية وبتمويل سخي من الاتحاد الأوروبي.

This week witnessed the launch of urban planning and development activities in Taiz Governorate, a component of the Strengthening Institutional and Economic Resilience in Yemen (SIERY) project implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through the Ghadaq for Development (GHFD).

The introductory workshop explained and presented key activities and concepts related to development and urban planning. Discussions revolved around developing the requirements for forming Urban Planning and Management Teams (UPMTs) under the local context.

This workshop, held with the participation of local authorities in the governorate, aims to enhance stakeholder engagement, ensure coordination, and contribute to raising awareness about localizing development goals in urban planning.

It is worth mentioning that these activities are being carried out in close coordination with the Ministry of Local Administration and with generous funding from the European Union.
