Organization policy

Since the first steps in establishing Ghadaq organization, we have taken into account the policies based on international organizations and labor laws, as well as the nature and customs of Yemeni society, and we came up with a set of policies for the organization.

Policy One

Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA)

This policy is legal and ethical framework aimed at protecting individuals and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment free of discrimination and abuse and aims to prevent any forms of exploitation and harassment, whether based on gender, race, religion, nationality, age, disability or any other personal characteristics. The policy promotes awareness and education about unacceptable and prohibited behavior, and explains the negative effects of harassment and exploitation on individuals and the organization. The policy of preventing exploitation and harassment is considered essential and contributes to creating a healthy and fair work environment for all individuals.

Children protection:

Ghadaq's child protection policy sets out the standards and procedures that are followed to protect children’s rights and limit any forms of physical, emotional, or sexual assault or abuse, economic exploitation, or other forms of violence and abuse to which children may be exposed. The child protection policy aims to provide a safe and healthy environment for children and ensure their rights and well-being.

Code of conduct of Supplier / Service Provider

Ghadaq's Code of Conduct is a document that explains and clarifies the values and guiding principles that the organization’s employees follow in their behavior and actions. A code of conduct is one of the human resource management tools that aims to define the ethical and social expectations and standards that an organization's members must adhere to as they interact with each other, customers and other partners.

Conflict of interest:

Ghadaq's Conflict of Interest Policy aims to ensure that decisions are made, and business is carried out in a fair and objective manner without the influence of bias or conflict of interest. The policy clearly defines what is considered a conflict of interest and explains the types of conduct or relationships that should be avoided. The Conflict-of-Interest Policy requires employees to disclose For any personal or professional interests that may conflict with the interests of the organization.

Fraud, Corruption and Abuse Reporting Policy

The fraud, corruption and abuse reporting policy at Ghadaq for development aims to encourage individuals to report any suspicious or unethical activities involving employees of the organization. The policy aims to ensure a safe and fair work environment, and to promote accountability and transparency in all aspects of the organization’s work.

Preventing support for and transactions with prohibited partners:

The Policy is intended to prevent any dealings or provision of financial support or resources to parties that have been designated as prohibited or illegal. The policy aims to ensure compliance with international laws and maintain security and stability.

Environment policy:

GHFD's Environmental Policy is the framework that defines the organization's commitment to protecting the environment and promoting environmental sustainability in all its activities. The policy aims to ensure that the Ghadaq's development activities are consistent with environmental principles and achieve a balance between economic development and environmental conservation.

Risk Management

The policy contains guidelines that the organization follows to deal with potential risks that could affect its objectives and operations. It works to identify and evaluate risks and take measures to reduce them and deal with them in an effective and organized manner. The policy aims to achieve a balance between objectives and maintain the sustainability of the organization and is considered an essential tool to ensure business continuity and achieve sustainable success in a changing and complex environment.

ACCOUNTABILITY TO AFFECTED POPULATIONS- AAP

AAP at GHFD reflects Ghadaq's commitment to promoting accountability, transparency and effective participation of communities affected by its work. AAP policy aims to ensure that beneficiary communities have a strong voice in identifying, evaluating and monitoring programs and projects and are given the opportunity to influence decision-making.

MONITORING EVALUATION, ACCOUNTABILITY AND LEARNING (MEAL)

Ghadaq's MEAL Manual seeks to provide practical guidance and direction for the organization in implementing meal processes and it aims to improve the monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning system in the organization also aims to enhance the organization's employees' understanding of monitoring and evaluation processes and how to follow the procedures effectively and effectively.

Training Policy

Ghadaq's training policy contains a set of principles, objectives and procedures that determine how to organize, implement and evaluate training within the framework of the organization and it aims to achieve the goals of Ghadaq by developing the skills and knowledge of employees and enhancing their performance and productivity

Anti-Bribery and Corruption:

Anti-Bribery and Corruption: Anti-Bribery and Corruption is a document that defines the standards and procedures that are followed in the organization to maintain integrity and combat corruption it aims to enhance the culture of integrity and ethics in the organization, and to ensure that all members of the organization adhere to high standards of ethical behavior and transparency in their work.

Asset Protection and Inventory Management

The manual includes a set of policies and procedures that aimed at protecting assets and achieving effective warehouse management and includes the different types of assets that must be used also it provides guidance on how to conduct a periodic inventory of assets and inventory and verify their availability and integrity.

Safety and security:

Ghadaq's security and safety policy contains a set of principles and procedures that aim to provide a safe and healthy environment for individuals within the organization. This policy aims to protect life and property and reduce risks and accidents.

Cost Allocation Policy

Costs charged to projects or activities must be incurred consistent with Ghadaq for development and donor policies and regulations. All costs must be in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and follow business practices. The unauthorized costs must be charged to the non-granted funding sources and must be approved at the headquarters in accordance with the headquarters accrediting authority of Ghadaq organization

Gender Manual:

Ghadaq's gender manual contains a set of guidelines and procedures that aimed at promoting gender equality and social justice in all aspects of the organization’s work. This manual is applied across all of the organization's programs and projects, and serves as a guiding tool for the organization's teams to work consistently with the values of gender equality and achieve the organization's goals.

Program development Manual:

Ghadaq's Program Development Management Manual defines the principles, objectives and procedures that followed to manage project programs in the organization. It aims to provide a systematic and unified framework for program management, achieving success and effective coordination between multiple projects. The Manual is a valuable tool for organizing and improving program management in the organization and enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in achieving targeted objectives.

Records keeping and Backup policy:

The policy aims to ensure the protection and safe retention of the organization's important records and documents. It includes aspects such as identification of important records, appropriate means of preservation, retention period, backups, access and security, training and awareness, and audit and evaluation. Ghadaq committed to implementing and promoting this policy among its employees to ensure adherence to best practices and standards in record keeping.

Financial Manual:

Ghadaq's financial manual used to document and organize all financial matters, rules and procedures related to the organization's financial system. It aims to ensure the accuracy and ease of carrying out financial matters and to ensure that everyone follows the established procedures, and it also aims to promote financial business standards and provide the necessary guidance for understanding and applying the organization's financial policies and procedures.

Human Resource Manual:

Ghadaq's HR Manual has a set of procedures and aims to clarify policies and practices related to recruitment, appointment, contracts, salaries, leave, training and development, performance, promotions and other aspects of human resources management. The manual applies to all employees in the organization, regardless of their position, whether they are in key functions or supporting departments, including those who they are subject to trial periods.

Procurement and Logistics Manual:

Ghadaq's Procurement and Logistics Manual is a document that describes the procedures that related to the organization’s supply, procurement, and warehouse management operations and aims to provide an organized and unified framework that ensures integrity, transparency and economic efficiency in purchasing, supply and contracting processes.

Bylaw:

Ghadaq's bylaws defines the organizational structure, goals and guidelines of the organization and defines the powers, responsibilities and main procedures that must be followed and act as a legal framework for the organization and help in achieving transparency, integrity and accountability in its operations.

Governance Manual:

Aims to achieve the basic principles of governance and accountability and provide a legal and regulatory framework for the organization and its members. It includes a set of procedures that define the organizational structure of the organization and the responsibilities among Ghadaq's members and administrative bodies. Also, the manual includes the guiding and decision-making principles used in the decision-making process and setting goals and strategies for the organization.

Administrative Manual:

The manual specifies how to organize and manage Ghadaq's works and aims to provide a clear and systematic framework for administrative operations and daily management in the organization. It is considered an important tool for internal organization and direction in the organization, as it sets the framework for implementing decisions and achieving specific goals. It works to unify standards and practices and promote balance and justice within the organization.
