The Ghadaq for Development concluded a conflict sensitivity training course during Aden Governorate’s project life cycle (needs assessment, planning, and implementation). This course is part of the project to improve access to basic services for displaced persons and residents, implemented by GIZ (German Agency for International Cooperation) with funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The training lasted for 3 days from November 16 to November 18, with the participation of 22 trainees representing civil society organizations in Aden Governorate. The course focused on conflict analysis and conflict-sensitive programming, emphasizing conflict analysis methodologies and tools, exploring conflict-sensitive needs assessment and planning approaches, discussing strategies for integrating conflict sensitivity into project implementation, and monitoring and facilitating group exercises and case studies to enable participants to practice applying a conflict-sensitive approach.
