Under the slogan ” For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment” Ghadaq for Development celebrates International Women’s Day, reaffirming its commitment to supporting women’s rights and empowerment as a fundamental part of its efforts to achieve sustainable development.
In this context, Ghadaq for Development highlighted the achievements it has made in the field of women’s empowerment through projects implemented in collaboration with its international partners. These projects aim to promote women’s rights and empower them economically and socially, contributing to the building of more just and prosperous societies.
Ghadaq for Development believes that women’s empowerment is not only a fundamental human right but also a critical factor in achieving sustainable development. Through its programs and initiatives, Ghadaq seeks to provide opportunities for women and girls to realize their full potential, whether in the economic, social, or educational spheres.
Ms. Amani Al-Ansi, Director of Program Development at Ghadaq Development, stated: “Empowering women is key to building strong and sustainable communities. At Ghadaq, we work to provide women with the tools and resources they need to become leaders in their communities and to contribute to positive change.”
Among the projects implemented by Ghadaq for Development in collaboration with its international partners are training programs to enhance women’s professional skills, initiatives to support women’s entrepreneurship, and projects aimed at improving access to education and vocational training for girls in remote areas. Additionally, there are projects dedicated to supporting and empowering rural women, enhancing their role and participation in rural areas to improve their living conditions.
These efforts have yielded tangible results, with thousands of women trained in new skills and hundreds enabled to start small businesses, thereby improving their living standards and enhancing their economic independence.
On International Women’s Day, Ghadaq for Development renews its commitment to continue working towards promoting women’s rights and empowerment. Ghadaq emphasizes that women’s empowerment is not only a matter of social justice but also an investment in a more sustainable and prosperous future for all.
Ms. Amani concluded her remarks by saying: “We believe that women are the backbone of society, and empowering them means empowering the entire community. We will continue working with our partners to ensure that women’s rights are protected and that every girl and woman receives the opportunities they deserve.”
Ghadaq for Development recognizes the importance of women’s empowerment and the protection of their rights as an integral part of achieving sustainable development. Through its ongoing efforts, Ghadaq contributes to building a more just and inclusive world, where women and girls can play a full role in shaping their future and the future of their communities.
